Have you ever attended a business networking meeting where you feel bored and completely alone No one came to greet you as you arrived, people are standing around in groups but excluding you. To top it all the meeting is boring and of no condequence? Sounds familiar I bet, and a lot of business networking meetings can be like that but not all of them.
I for one love to attend Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerece After 5 events because these events allow me to meet like minded people who are always willing to include you and invite you into a group of people chatting, plus the atmosphere is fun and inviting.
But, and yes I am biased obviously because I am one of the co-founders, I have to give a big shout out to the Small Business Community Network (SBCN) monthly meetings which we host in Waterloo, Stratford and Barrie, here in Ontario, Canada. We offer affordable, friendly and educational meetings, but if you want to know more please visit our website www.sbcncanada.org
Our last meeting was not only jam packed full of members and guests we had a very special prize draw to give away to a lucky member of the SBCN. We partnered up with TELUS to offer the fabulous BBZ10 smartphone and the lucky winner was John Arnott, http://www.welcomehomeinspections.ca, owner of Welcome Hone Inspections Canada. Congratulations to John!
Sandra Dietz,www.vocalinks.com, Regional Business Manager for Vocal Links also donated a fantastic prize draw, many thanks to Sandra, and the lucky winner was,
Craig Herner, http://www.uvwebdesign.com, President, Ultimate Vision Web Design and Consulting.
Dave Ockwell-Jenner and I co-founded the Small Busness Community Network (SBCN) 9 years ago and we have consistently grown since then and become the hub for small business owners as their connection to the small business community.
Hope to see you at one of our meetings in the near future.
