Local Entrepreneur brings Power of Women to Kitchener, Waterloo and Surrounding areas
The Power of Women Exchange is growing! A new chapter is opening up in Kitchener/Waterloo for women Entrepreneurs, executives, and business professionals after a very SUCCESSFUL FIRST EVENT WAS HELD ON JANUARY 20TH with over 70 savvy business women from all over in attendance to learn how to grow the "POWE WAY". The ladies heard from the founders, Tina Dezsi, CEO and Lia Bandola CEOD how to market their businesses for success in today's economy.
Women are looking for a different way to grow their business and this dynamic new group will be meeting in the Kitchener the first Tuesday of the month for a business "lunch and learn" networking. This unique opportunity to use the power within the POWE network to help move you and your business in a new positive direction is just what economists are saying will help to keep it alive during this economy.
Newly appointed Chapter Director, Julie Wilson, local business women, has proven her success through business networking, valued service and referrals. Julie, a Licensed Realtor with Re/max since 1985 is fulfilling her dreams through her many years of experience and continued education helping families fulfill their goals and dreams.
Julie knows that an overriding need in her life is helping people find there inspiration and now the opportunity to empower women to make connections and build relationships to grow their businesses is truly her aspiration.
"The fact that women in business are the lions force in the economy, I am honoured and thrilled to be apart of and to have the opportunity to bring this dynamic organization out to the Waterloo region. Small business is what keeps the economy going and it is the small businesses where many women are putting their energies due to large companies downsizing. MARCH 3rd, 2009 offers the very first meeting inviting new members, all local business woman, other chapter members and quests to all participate starting at 11:00am at Victoria Park Pavilion, Kitchener with a goal of exceeding 70. Existing members from other chapters in the province will be in attendance to support the new chapter and to do business with local business woman.
To officiate our stand for the community, the Mayor has been invited to join us to cut the POWE purple ribbon.
