Social networking is the thing to do, everyone in the world is talking about Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIN, the most familiar ones with most people I would say. These are all wonderful places to be, as long as you know why you are there and what you want to achieve from the process. Imagine if you phoned someone up and asked them to meet you for coffee and you arrived sat down in front of the person you invited for coffee and you both sat there in silence.....for half an hour or an hour, not saying a thing. What would be the purpose of the meeting? Would you believe that so many people join Linkedin, as a good example and do exactly that. They get all excited and connect to as many people as possible and beg steal or, not I gues syou cant borrow a recommendation, or can you? Eitherway they sit there with all these contacts, connections, and they wait, and they wait and then the grumbles start. Linkedin is rubbish, nothing is happening, no one wants to employ me,. No one wants to buy my products or services. Hmmmmm, Linkedin is a bad place to be it does not actually do the work for you, surprise surprise. Linkedin is in fact a wonderful resource, but it is a bit like owning a car and knowing how to drive it, see? If you got into a car and had no idea how to drive it would you take it back to the car dealership and complain your car did not drive you anywhere therefore you want your money back?
