Take Charge of Your Life! – Kinettes Host Women’s Expo 2007 - Keynote Speaker Linda Ockwell-Jenner
Palmerston, ON. On Thursday, May 3, 2007 women from all over Minto, Mapleton, North Perth and beyond are invited to the 1st Annual Women’s Expo at the Royal Canadian Legion in Palmerston. Organized and hosted by the Palmerston & District Kinette Club, this year’s theme is “Take Charge of Your Life” – a theme not taken lightly by its organizers.
The Kinette Club is VERY excited to present Linda Ockwell-Jenner, renowned motivational speaker and author of A Life Like Mine - Everyday Strategies for Living With Life’s Challenges. Two-time breast cancer survivor, wife, mother, author and business woman extraordinaire, Linda Ockwell-Jenner speaks from her heart. Linda was born in the United Kingdom and made her home in Canada in 1993. After many challenges, she turned her attention to founding Motivational Steps in order to reach a wider audience. Linda has since written her debut book: A Life Like Mine, and been nominated for Woman of the Year.
Doors will be open at 6:30pm with the evening’s program starting at 7:00pm, so be sure to arrive early. One of the highlights of the evening will be the draw for a free makeover, (since the makeover draw will take place at 7:00pm, only those who enter prior to 7:00pm will be able to enter the draw). Once the winning ticket is announced, the lucky winner will be whisked away to get her makeover done and be brought back near the end of the evening to show off her new look!
The Palmerston & District Kinette Club, a member of Kin Canada, is not only your gracious hostess for this event; they’re also working harder and harder each month to serve this community. Stay tuned for many more projects that this group of women have taken on. For more information on the Women’s Expo or joining Kinettes, you can visit their website at www.palmerstonkinettes.ca.
