Huffington Post - Arianna Huffington

People are always asking me how I can manage to be *everywhere* and how everyone appears to know me and recognize the name I use for social media, LindaOJ. My answer is easy, a lot of the time I create an illusion, via my articles, tips, blogs and online presence; because I am visible I am also memorable, people remember me versus forget about me.

We can't be everywhere, all of the time, so rather than disappear from sight my online presence keeps me current and people see me around so to speak.

When I attend networking events people come up to me, and the comment I hear the most is "I have heard all about you and so excited to meet you". How does this help my two businesses, the SBCN and Motivational Steps? Well I think that speaks for itself, but to clarify both those businesses have continued to grow and I am deemed to be successful.

Here is an interesting quote from Arianna Huffington : “It is about you getting your content, your ideas, or whatever you are doing and putting it on as many sites as possible,” she says.

If you don't know who Huffington is:

The Huffington Post was acquired by AOL Inc. for $315 million last year, with Huffington named as editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post Media Group.

The Huffington Post is “a platform that provides people with an opportunity to share their experiences, to talk about what interests them, to share their passions and to speak each other,” she says. “To me that is one of the most important things that the online environment has made possible."

The SBCN is in some ways similar to the Huffington Post, our members are offered the chance to share their blogs, their tips, their articles on the SBCN Home Page. That content is then shared via the SBCN Groups on LinkedIn and Facebook and also the SBCN Twitter page.

If you are looking for a way to share your content, and you do want to move forward with your business, take the time, like I do to share your articles, tips, events, news on the SBCN Home Page and see where it takes you. I know where it has taken me and how by being visible has definitely helped me get to where I am today.

Any questions, please feel free to email me and I look forward to connecting with you at the next SBCN meeting on Wednesday 19th April.
