Follow Up,Follow Up, Follow Through

We all know as SMB's to follow up with a client, or a possible referral, but do we follow through? What that means is when you leave a message or send an email and do not get a reply do you give up? If your answer is yes, then you are missing out on a possible sale.

Most people are either working 24/7 and incredibily busy, or not checking to see if emails are ending up in their spam list. What that means is if you give up after the first try you could be letting your clients down too. By not contacting them a second time you could be leaving them with the thought that you did NOT follow up with them.

Obviously do not be a nuisance, but it is OK to phone or email or even drop in to see your client and apologise if they have not received your email, or phone call. Assure them that you do care and you wanted to make sure they have all the information your promised them. At least this way even if they do say they are not interested at least they know you care.

I would say 99% of the time the reason you do not here from your clients is because they are too busy, forget to return your call or your email has ended up in the spam list.

Follow through, what have you got to lose?
