Is Email Losing It'S Popularity To Text Messaging?

Have you noticed how many people prefer to send text messages versus email these days? Particularly in the age group 19 - 30, and I like to call this group of people the quiet influencers. It is very like follow the leader, if my daughter purchases a product, she tells her friends and they instantly follow suit trusting her judgement. Watching her text message friends around the world with a speed I envy I think about how many emails I can send in the time it takes her to communicate via text message.

I still prefer to send emails for personal and business communication, but enjoy the freedom and speed of text messaging. For the future I do not think email and how secure it is will be a great selling point, the need for fast, easy and fun ways to communicate via our phones will take precedence over emails.
