If no one knows who you are then how can they hire you? Before content marketing became the big thing and Ariana Huffington became famous, I instinctively knew that I had to find a way to get my name out there so that I could gain speaking engagements. This was before social media, I did not have Facebook, Linked, Twitter or any other platform to help me. I searched the web for newsletters that I could contribute to. I wrote letters to newspapers, I wrote articles for online magazines. Hard work but big pay off.
