Bowen Therapy - Is It Effective?

When I first tried Bowen Therapy myself, I was skeptical. How could a treatment that was supposed to be so gentle, effect such positive change? Fortunately, it can, and it does so by utilizing the body's own healing capabilities. Yes, it is gentle to the client, but it's effects are very powerful.

As an example, a 1998 study presented by Amy Norman at the University of North Carolina indicated that after receiving an average of approximately 4.5 Bowen treatments, clients reported the following results:

  • 85% effectiveness with back pain
  • 80% effectiveness for stress and tension
  • 80% effectiveness with Fibromyalgia
  • 95% effectiveness with TMJ
  • 80% effectiveness with hip pain
  • 75.6% for "other" conditions

Bowen can be quite effective at alleviating back pain, sciatica, fibromyalgia, any type of musculoskeletal pain, sinus issues, etc.
